Welcome from Mr. Pritchard
It is with great pleasure that I accept the opportunity to work with your
children in grade 4. I have previously taught at the grade 4 and 5 levels,
and in a 4/5 combined classroom with the Lethbridge School District. Prior
to this, I taught middle and high school in the Palliser School District. My
wife is also a teacher.
My own children are entering grade 12 and university (year 3) this fall, and
both are excited about the move into their new challenges.
Grade 4 is a fun year to teach, with some excellent themes that the students
are sure to enjoy. I tend to stress active learning, a strong work ethic
with an emphasis on improving and expanding literacy and numeracy skills,
and community awareness.
We expect that each student respect each others' right to learn in a safe and
caring environment. Students are expected to work together, not cause
distractions, and to complete all assignments in a timely manner.
Parents are a valuable stakeholder in the education of their children. We
promote open communication, and we anticipate support and cooperation that
will be in the student's best interest with regards to their educational
experiences.
