WELCOME TO OUR CLASS!
In-service date in September has been changed. It will be on September 18--no
school for students that day. The magnetic calendar is wrong now, so note the
new date.
The first graded progress report will be sent home in late September. Letter
grades are assigned to fourth grade and older.
First book project is due September 30. Assignment sheet will be sent home
right after Labor Day.
H1N1 cases have been reported in Skagway over the summer. Talk to your family
about keeping hands clean and avoiding spreading germs when we sneeze or
cough. Recommendation is to stay home whenever we have flu symptoms and
usually one day past the fever breaking. Drink lots of water, get plenty of
quality rest, eat plenty of vegetables and fruits, consider taking vitamin C,
zinc, and Vitamin D and A. Consult a reliable medical source about the value
of the immunization when it comes out.

September 11: Concert at the Chilkat Center, "Dana Lyons," a comedic lyricist.

September 12: Punt, Pass and Kick Event on the high school track at 4:30 P.M.
Bring a side dish or dessert to share.
September 21: International Day of Peace. Special Assembly at School.
