C.R.E.W. Book

C.R.E.W BOOK
(Communicate Responsibly: Everyday Work Notebook)
 
 
     Your C.R.E.W. Book is our way of staying organized at home and at school.  It is a 3 ring 1" binder that contains valuable information that is always at our fingertips.  Its handy sections provide a quick and easy way to organize notes from school, graded papers, spelling lists, schedules, lunch money, homework, newsletters and contact information . . .to name a few things.
                                                                      
                                                                  DO
                                                           
*take very good care of your C.R.E.W. Book - we will be using it all year long
 
*take your C.R.E.W. Book home every day and bring it back to school the next morning
 
*show your parents your binder every night and go over any homework or returned work with them
 
*put your homework back inside the binder
 
DON'T
 
*leave your  C.R.E.W Book in the car or at a friend's house
 
*get your C.R.E.W. dirty; don't eat or drink around our C.R.E.W.
 
*put extra papers in your C.R.E.W.
 
*let someone borrow your C.R.E.W.
 
*take pages out of your C.R.E.W.(leave everything for your parents to take out)
 
C.R.E.W Book Overview
 
Front Pouch of Binder:  Notes from school, our class newsletter, and incomplete homework. Take these out nightly.
 
Zipper PocketThis is where students put money for lunch, field trips, class parties, etc.
 
Tab Divider labeled homework calendar:  Weekly homework calendar 
 
Tab Divider labeled Math homework:  nightly homework should be placed here.
 
 
Tuesday Folder:  This yellow folder will contain super duper work done by your "smart-brained kid.  Please remove it and discuss it with your child.  This is weekly work and will be handed out every Tuesday.This will also contain a weekly behavior and missed work chart.  Please sign all test and the behavior chart and return to me the next day.  Any other work you may keep to "ooh and ahh" over.  I am sure you will want to show off the work on the refrigerator.!
 
 
Spelling Section:  Weekly spelling lists, practice tests, and weekly homework assignments should be kept here.
Practice tests will be turned in on Thursdays.  Practice tests must be signed by parent for student to receive his points.  Each practice test is worth 10 points.
 
Notebook Paper:  Loose leaf paper will be kept here for assignments.
