The Traveling Scientist Club

The "Traveling Scientist Club" is strictly on a volunteer basis. A student will volunteer every two weeks to be a part of the Traveling Scientist Club. These students come up with a science experiment that they want to perform for the class.

Students will be sent home with the traveling scientist backpack. The back pack will contain 3-5 books in which students can find science experiments. Also, included in the backpack is a folder with a worksheet that lays out the scientific method. Students should pick an experiment and try it at home with their parents. Students should then return the backpack and then come to school ready to show the class. The student should complete the "scientific method" worksheet, bring the materials and do the experiment and explaining it, the reasoning behind it and any other information.

Students who participate will receive a certificate that claims they are now and "Official Member of the " Traveling Scientist Club" and will also receive extra credit points to use in Science!
