HELP!!!! I AM IN NEED OF LOTS AND LOTS OF PRESHARPENED PENCILS FOR STUDENTS
TO USE. THANKS TO ORION'S MOM FOR SENDING IN 60 LAST MONTH AND ISABELLA'S
MOM FOR SENDING IN 24, WHICH WILL LAST A FEW WEEKS, BUT I NEED LOTS MORE
AFTER THANKSGIVING!YOU CAN SEND THEM AT ANY TIME, BUT PLEASE HELP!!!!!THE
PENCIL SHARPENER IS HARD FOR THEM TO USE AND IT TAKES UP A LOT OF TIME!

If you are coming to eat Thanksgiving dinner, please send in the reservation
form for the lunch room to know how many are coming to eat.
PLEASE SEND IN CANNED FOODS FOR THE NEEDY! ALSO, THE SCHOOL IS COLLECTING
STUFFED BEARS FOR CHILDREN TOO!
Below are the things we are learning this week:
Reading-Our story for this week will be "Tell Me Tree." Please discuss
trees/leaves with your child. The comprehension and vocabulary quiz
on "Tell Me Tree" will be Friday, Nov. 21.
Math- We will be focusing on problem solving this week in math. Students
will be creating word problems in class and solving them using a process
called ICEE. Ask them about this!
Language- DOL Week #14
Your child has written an expository paper called, "I am Thankful."
Please allow your child to read this on Thanksgiving Day to your family.
These will be sent home on Friday, Nov. 21.
Spelling- the test will be given on Nov. 21 on the list of words sent on
Nov. 10.
Science- We will begin studying plants and animals for the next several
weeks!Your child will be selecting an animal to research for a science
grade. Please look for the animal research sheet to fill out. This sheet
will be sent this week on Monday, Nov. 17.
