| August 16: Have your child decorate his/her person.
September 11: Give each family a tree form and let them add family members.
September 25: Decorate a silly sock for the letter "Ss".
October 9: "What I Want To Be" Have children draw a picture showing
what they want to be when they grow up. Parents write a short
sentence about child's picture.
October 24: Decorate a pumpkin pattern.
November 6: Help your child draw and tell about his/her favorite fairy
tale. These will be used to make a class book.
November 27: Math activity working with numerals 1-3.
December 4: Decorate an ornament to go on the office Christmas tree.
January 9: Decorate a snowman.
January 22: Have children bring clean, empty environmental print
containers such as french fry bags, empty cereal boxes, etc.
February 5: Decorate a Valentine bag.
February 26: Bring in 20 small objects to count (cotton balls,
buttons, etc.).
March 4: Help your child draw and tell about his/her favorite farm
animal. These will be used to make a class book.
March 25: Help your child make a flower and label the parts (roots,
stem, leaves, petals, and flower).
April 8: Bring in items that start with the letter G (these can be items
cut out of a magazine, stuffed animals, etc)
April 22: Help your child draw pictures of his/her family.
May 6: Help your child draw and tell about his/her summer
vacation.
