I am a lifelong resident of Cullman and a 2001 graduate of Cullman High
School. I attended Samford University, where I received a bachelor's degree
in Early Childhood, Elementary, and Special Education. I then attended the
University of West Alabama where I received my master's degree. I am married
to Nathan Bates, who is the P.E. teacher here at Cullman Primary School. I
love getting together with family and friends, playing boardgames, and
cooking. I have an identical twin sister who has always been my closest
friend; she is also a teacher! I still love learning new things, and I hope
to pass on that eagerness to all of my students!
My mission is to provide meaningful learning experiences in a loving and
encouraging environment through which children can grow and develop
academically, socially, and emotionally. Most importantly, my desire is to
create an excitement and an eagerness towards learning in each of my
students to ensure that they become lifelong learners.
