This week we will continue our study of the first Thanksgiving by reading to
learn about the Pilgrims and their voyage on the Mayflower. The First Grade
Holiday Lunch is this Friday and we are looking forward to seeing all of our
guests! We have three more weeks for the Read-a-thon—please make sure that
you are keeping up with all of the pages that your child is reading so that

Wednesday: Cinderella; Leveled texts and comprehension activities
Thursday: leveled texts and comprehension activities; sequencing
Friday: review of skills and test on HoneyBees
PHONICS: -ar,or,oo vowel digraphs. Y as a vowel. Review of all sounds and
motions.
MATH: counting by 10’s and 2’s; following a recipe and measuring one-half and
one-fourth.
