The Bear Necessities Mrs. Farr October 5, 2009 Activities this week include: Language Arts: We will focus on letters Nn and Oo this week. Math: We will continue to work on patterning this week. Unit: We will continue our study of animals in preparation for our zoo trip on Thursday. Sight word this week: we, are Important Notes: We need donations for our Fall Festival basket. If you have not sent yours, please send $5.00, (more if you can)in a sealed envelope marked FALL FESTIVAL. Mrs. Johnson needs to purchase items for our basket. We are not introducing a lot of new concepts this week, due to short week in the classroom this week (Thursday will be at zoo and Friday, students are out) and because of the large number of absences last week. I hope everyone is feeling much better this week! We will begin sending homework packets this week. Look for your child’s in his/her yellow folder. T-shirts have arrived just in time for our zoo trip! I will send home shirts on Wednesday afternoon. Please make sure your child wears the shirt for our field trip. It makes keeping up with our classes much easier, when our kids are color coded! There is important information about our zoo trip in the folders today. Please read prior to our trip. Chaperones, we are not always lucky enough to find a picnic table so, if you have an extra old blanket or quilt you don’t mind throwing on the ground, please bring it along! If you requested a conference, your appointment time should be in your child’s folder today. If you did not schedule an appointment but wish to have one, please send me a note or email.
