I am pleased to join the faculty of Cullman City Primary School! I am devoted
to excellence in early childhood education and anticipate a wonderful year.
This will be my sixth year teaching first grade. During the last eight years
I have worked in the Jefferson County School System as a first grade teacher,
Title One reading teacher, and reading coach.
I graduated from Birmingham Southern College and received National Board
Certification in the area of early childhood education. In addition, I have
served as an Alabama Reading Initiative teacher-trainer for several school
systems in North Alabama for the last four summers.
I am married and have two daughters. In my spare time, I enjoy reading,
gardening, cooking (especially Italian), and watching movies. I grew up in
Michigan and have lived in Alabama for the past twenty-seven years and in
Cullman for the past four years.
I am excited about the upcoming year and look forward to working with parents
and the community to further the success of our children.
