I graduated from Fairview High School in 1999. I attended the University
of Alabama, where I graduated with a BS in Elementary
Education. This is my fourth year teaching Kindergarten at CCPS. I feel
extremely blessed to teach alongside such a dedicated group of educators!
I am married to Kevin Byrd. We have two beautiful children, a one year old
son, Aaron, and a three month old daughter, Leah Claire.
My hobbies and interests include spending time with family and friends,
traveling, participating in church activities, singing, reading, watching the
Braves, and cheering on my favorite team...Roll Tide!
My mission for the class is to provide my students with opportunities for
learning and growth through appropriate learning experiences in an
environment where every person is loved and accepted. It is also my goal to
create a community of learners where students know each other, help each
other, respect each other, and enjoy learning together.
