I am a 1999 graduate of Fairview High School and a 2005 graduate of the
University of Alabama, where I earned a BS in Elementary
Education. This is my fifth year teaching Kindergarten at CCPS. Teaching young
children brings me joy and I feel extremely blessed to do it every day at
CCPS!
I am married to Kevin Byrd. We have a son, Aaron (2) and a daughter, Leah
Claire (1).
Things I love...God, family, friends, church, music, football (ROLL TIDE!!!),
reading, coffee, traveling, the outdoors, and HGTV.
My mission is to help each of my students reach their highest
potential as a learner and citizen. To accomplish this, I will provide
opportunities for learning and growth that are both age appropriate and
challenging in an environment that is clean, safe, and welcoming. It is also
my goal to nurture a community of learners where students know each other,
help each other, respect each other, and enjoy learning together.
