Announcements

*  Things to look for in the folder today:
                   -  ZOO REMINDER NOTE for chaperones 
                   -  CLASS T-SHIRTS
*  A few reminders:
                   - BE ON TIME ON WEDNESDAY.  We will leave right after 
                     morning announcements.  Have children wear classs shirts 
                     and have them in good walking shoes.
*  THIS WEEK WE WILL:
                   - Study ZOO ANIMALS. 
                   - Count by 10s and count backwards from 10.                
                   - Introduce the letter Z.  Ashlen is the
                     letter expert for Z. 
                   - We will read several great books this week: 1 HUNTER, 
                     THE RIGHT NUMBER OF ELEPHANTS, MY SCHOOL IS A ZOO,
                     IF YOUR HAPPY AND YOU KNOW, and many more.
                   - Continue practicing initial sounds.
                   - New sight word is GO.
*  Special dates to remember:
                   - OUR ZOO FIELD TRIP IS WEDNESDAY.
                   - NO SCHOOL on October 9th or 10th.
                   - 
*  Things we need:
                   - Headphones for the computers and Leapsters (1 was
                     donated :), but we still need 3 more.)
