This is my twelfth year of teaching. I have my BSE in Elementary and Early
Childhood Education from Central Missouri State University and my Master's
Degree in Elementary Administration from William Woods University.
I am married to Richard Orr. He is an Assistant Principal at Madison
Elementary School in Madison. We have three children. Macey is 6 and is in
first grade this year. Jaden is 4 years old and attends Little Lambs Pre-
School. The youngest is Avery. She is two and also attends Little Lambs Pre-
school.
When we are not in school, we led the youth group at First Baptist Church
Cullman. We also cart children to ballet, soccer, and playdates.
We are a family on the go, and we love it that way!
I like for my students to have as many hands-on opportunities to learn as
possible. I feel we all learn better when we are doing and not just
watching. I want the children to be surrounded with print and with reading.
I want school to be a fun place to be for the children and myself. I like to
incorporate music and movement throughout the day and in my instruction. I
want the class to feel like a family, where we respect, love, share and look
after one another.
