**Skills This Week** 

*Phonemic Awareness:
	Middle and ending sounds
	Phoneme segmentation (breaking words into their sounds 
        flag = /f/ /l/ /a/ /g/)
	“Sound switch"-phoneme (sound) substitution of middle & ending sounds
 
*Phonics: Letter-sound correspondence (students should be able to name 
        all letters and their sounds and name 40+ assorted letters in 1 
minute)
	Blending consonant-vowel-consonant words (hop, sit, rip, mat, etc.)
        Reading 4-letter words with beginning blends (crab, flag, stop, etc.)
	
*Reading: Practicing reading sight word sentences and decodable texts
        Practicing reading/blending CVC words in sentences
	Evaluating fiction and nonfiction texts 
	*Sight words: a, the, my, I, see, and, is, we, are, that, said, 
        here, have, you, go, was, he, she, with, what, who, has

*Math: 	Review Numbers 1-25, making sets of 1-20 objects
	Telling Time
	Addition
        Identifying coins

*Social Studies/Science: Spring/Life Cycles
