| Phonics
During the first week of school we will be engaging in phonemic awareness
activities.
Math
This week we will learn our math songs, begin working with our calendar and
work in math centers.
Reading
This week we will engage in read alouds and work on our own books about the
first week of school. Please read each night with your child. They will be
bringing home books in their book bags.
Social Studies:
We will spend the first couple of weeks getting to know each other. Your
child will be assigned a day to bring in special items that help us to learn
about each other. More information will be coming soon!
Writing
We will begin brainstorming ideas that we can write about!

Friday, August 29th: Professional Development Day for teachers, no school for
students
Monday, September 1st: Labor Day, no school
