My name is Tonya Trammell. I am a native of Cullman county. I am married to
Wayne and we have two children, Logan & Natalie. Wayne is a brick mason and
owns Custom Masonry and Concrete. Logan is in the 7th grade at Harmony
School. Natalie is a 1st grader here at CCPS. A few things I love
to do during my free time is sing, read, collect snow globes and Willow Tree
figurines, spend time with my family, play the piano, and I am currently
learning to play the mandolin. I graduated from West Point High School in
1994 with an advanced diploma. I received an Associates Degree in Science
from Wallace in 2000. I then transferred to Athens State University and
received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education in 2003. I plan to
begin working on my Masters Degree during the summer of 2008.
My mission for the class is to make each child feel important and loved while
encouraging them to reach their highest academic potential. Also my goal is
not only to help them achieve academically, but to get them excited
about learning by providing them with many educational experiences such as
hands-on learning and lots of "up and doing" activities. I hope they will
carry this excitement for learning with them on throughout their education.
I try to provide my students an environment which is consistent, nurturing,
and especially challenging because kindergarteners need a safe place where
they can explore, take risks, experience success, and learn from the
challenges they encounter.
