About The Teacher

I have been involved with education for the past 14 years. I received my
bachelors of science degree from Auburn University and my masters of science
from Alabama A&M University, all in Agribusiness Education. I recently
achieved National Board Certification.
I am married to the former Miss Kelly Smith. My wife is also an
educator, teaching 4th grade at Holly Pond Elementary. We have two daughters.
We are members of Duck River Baptist Church and serve in several leadership
positions.
I am very active working on my farm. I feel that I am very blessed to
have the opportunity to raise a family on a farm. I can think of no better
place for families to spend time together, learning many of life lessons. I
raise Angus and Simmental cattle and this will be my daughter Olivia's first
year to show a heifer, as a livestock project for 4-H. She and her sister
exhibited show lambs for the past two years. I am in the process of
developing a small fruit operation (muscadines, blackberries,& raspberries). I
enjoy most outdoor activities; hunting, fishing, hiking, playing with dirt,
riding tractors, growing things. I love college football, especially Auburn
Tigers Football!

Mission For The Class

I EXPECT BEHAVIOR THAT ALLOWS ME TO TEACH AND STUDENTS TO LEARN.

I strive to prepare students for the world of work by teaching them the
skills necessary to be successful. I also hope to teach leadership skills
and prepare students to be productive members of society.

Students can participate in many exciting activities and in the process,
learn many common-sense approaches to what they do.
