I am currently teaching the classes mentioned above; however, my experience
includes teaching drama and English classes from ninth grade to twelth
grade. My education started at Cold Springs High School and continued at
Wallace and Athens State where I earned my Language Arts Degree in
Education. I began teaching at Cullman High School right after my college
graduation. My latest endeavor is my return to graduate school at Alabama.
My master's degree will be in library and information sciences. I will
finish all of my classes on August 6th.
My family includes my husband, Joe, and my two daughters, Katie and Josie.
We all enjoy animals and the outdoors. Camping is our favorite way to spend
relaxing time together. Although these activities are fun to me, I also
enjoy reading, writing, and listening to great music. (I played brass
instruments during high school and college.)
I know I am not perfect;however, I feel my Christian values help me be a
better teacher and role model - I can do all things through Christ who
strengthens me.
My mission is to provide a pleasant and encouraging learning environment for
my students while I guide them through the required objectives of the
Alabama State Department of Education and the Alabama Graduation Exam. I
strive to spark enthusiasm in the English language through writing and the
study of literature.
