My name is Beth Collins, I was raised here in Cullman and spent my elementary
school years right here at East! After graduating from Auburn University
(War Eagle!) with a B.S. in Elementary Education, I taught for three years in
the Hoover City School System. While I was there, I taught Kindergarten and
Second Grade. After getting married, I moved back to Cullman to live and
continue my teaching career. This will be my fourth year at East and I am
thrilled to be teaching Fifth Grade this year. I look forward to learning and
growing with my students. This will be my seventh year of teaching (Wow!
Time flies when your having fun!). I am married to Richard Collins and I
have two step children Mitchell, who is in the fifth grade and Rachael, who
is in the fourth grade.
As a family, we enjoy playing outside with our dog, Petey and taking family
vacations. In my spare time, I enjoy shopping, being with my family and
friends, and reading.
My mission for my class is for each of us to be better than we were when we
walked through the door each day! I have high expectations and want us to
work hard to achieve our goals together. However, while we work we will have
fun and just enjoy being together laughing, listening to music, and growing
as a class.
