"ALL students are expected to participate in the organized P.E. classes.
In order to safely participate, tennis shoes MUST be worn DAILY.
Notes from parents are necessary should the child be unable to participate.
Any prolonged absence from P.E. requires a note from a physician."
All elementary students in Alabama are required to participate in a
physical education program for a minimum of 30 minutes per day. If your child
cannot participate because of a temporary restriction, you must write a note,
which will excuse them for the day. If the condition lasts more than 5 days,
a doctor must write the excuse. If your child has a life threatening-serious
illness please contact us so that we may discuss a plan. Any student who
sits out during their PE class will be asked to read a health article and
write a report on the article during that class period.
Girls should wear clothing appropriate for mixed classes, such as shorts
under dresses. All students should wear tennis shoes for physical
education.
You will be notified regularly of your child's progress in physical
education on their report card.
