About The Teacher
Hello! My name is Laura Couch. I was born in Decatur, Alabama in 1978. My parents are Stella and Anthony Couch. I have one younger sister, Mary- Catherine and brother-in-law, Travis. They have one beautiful little girl, Sloan with another baby one on the way. I spent my early years of school in Decatur.My family moved to Cullman in 1992. I continued my education in the Cullman City Schools. I graduated from Cullman High School in 1996 and I graduated from Athens State Univerity in 2002. I taught fifth grade for two years at St. Paul's Lutheran School. This is my sixth year at East Elementary and my sixth year to teach fourth grade. My current class is packed full of wonderful students whom make my life exciting and interesting every day! I can not imagine a more fun-filled job than the one that I have.

Mission
My mission for the class is for each child to succeed. I want the students to leave my class with skills to carry with them for the rest of their lives. I strive for my students to treat one another with kindness, learn organization skills, and realize the importance of their education. Each student should walk out of class each day with a new found confidence. Daily, the students leave with relavant information to help them succeed during their lifetime.
