Dear Sixth Grade Chorus Parents,
I have the date for our Christmas program. All Star Singers will be
performing on Thursday, December 17th at East Elementary at 1:00 and at West
Elementary at 2:00. A bus will be provided to transport the children from
one school to the other. I will have a transportation form for you to sign
closer to the performance date.
Girls will need to wear the customary black Star Singer choral dress.
West girls were fitted by Mrs. Vickie Ferrell this morning. East girls will
be fitted Wednesday afternoon during chorus. Your child will be given a form
tomorrow for you to sign. Please have you daughter turn it back in to me the
following day. It will let me know if you need a Star Singer dress, already
own a Star Singer dress, or have a dress and need/does not need alteration.
The cost of a new dress is $40.00. This can be paid in full up-front or
$20.00 now and another $20.00 once the dress is finished. Checks should be
made payable to Vickie Ferrell and NOT East or West Elementary.
Boys will need black dress pants, black belt, white button down long
sleeve shirt, and dark shoes. We have a large number of boys in our chorus
this year. You may want to begin looking for the items your son may not
already own.
You may also want to mark your calendar for Thursday, February 25th.
The Star Singers will be attending District Festival. This year it will be
held at the 1st Baptist Church in Decatur.
Thank you so much for allowing me to work with your child! Each child
is becoming quite the musician. I am proud of each one of them.!!
