Parents,
As many of you know, I will be taking the rest of the year off to
have my “sweet” baby, Lydia after spring break. We will continue to review
for the ARMT test until testing day on April 9th. This test is VERY important
in your child’s future! PLEASE make sure they get plenty of rest during this
week! If everything goes well, I am planning to come and give the test to my
class. I feel that they will work harder if I am here to administer to them.
IF I DO go into labor, I will NOT be giving the test. Mrs. Riggs will have a
certified teacher here to do that.
Mrs. Lisa Emmerson will be taking my place for the rest of the year. She
has a teaching degree and has subbed several times at HES. She has been in
the classroom observing our routine for the past two weeks. If you have ANY
questions please don’t hesitate to call or email me!
We will also be going on a field trip in May to the Mcwane Center in
Birmingham, AL. They will send home more info on that in the next few weeks.
Field day is the 27th of April. If you would like to purchase a shirt,
please turn this in to me asap! I sent a form home last week. There is a
sample of the shirt in the office.
These are just a few reminders that I felt I needed to “send” before we get
out for Spring break! Thank you for everything you have done this year! I
have truly enjoyed my class! They will ALWAYS hold a special place in my
heart as they were “the ones” that were with me every day through my
pregnancy. I am planning on having a “fun day” with them on Friday. I will
bring a special snack and a “goody” . Thanks again for all you have done and
don’t hesitate to call/email/facebook me! ;)

Parents, Please study Multiplication EACH NIGHT with your child! It's VERY
important for them to learn these for third/fourth grade mathematics!
They should have flash cards in their binder zip pocket. ;)
We are currently reviewing for the ARMT (Alabama Reading and Math Test).
It is important that the students know their multiplication for this test!
Testing dates are 4/9/2012-4/20/2012
You may go to the Alabama State Department website and view other info on the
test.

JOIN PTO TODAY: Parents & Staff
Join PTO today. PTO pays to have our building painted, helps fund our
renaissance program for our students, perfect attendance movie day, meal with
the principal, etc. We are currently trying to raise enough money to cover
our entire bus are with canopies so students will stay dry.
