I graduated with my Bachelor's in Elementary Education (K-6) from Lee
University in Cleveland, TN. I also received my Master's in
Education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. This is my fourth
year at Irondale Middle (formerly Gresham Middle), teaching sixth grade.
Outside of school, I enjoy traveling and spending time with my husband and
our four furbabies. We are also expecting our first baby at the end of
January!
As your teacher, I promise to work hard to ensure that your time spent in my
class is optimized. I will try to make the subjects interesting by relating
to your own lives. I promise to be consistent and fair with each of you. I
want each of you to succeed!
To earn my respect, you must show effort in your assignments and try to be
an active member in class by participating (ie. going and explaining
problems on the board, asking questions, etc.). You must turn your work in
on time. The work you turn in must be well thought out, organized, and well
written. I require this because it gives you an idea of what a great feeling
it is to see yourself live up to your potential.
