No school next Wednesday-Friday..

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!



*** For the Christmas season, our class will be creating Christmas sweatshirts. Mrs. McSwain will be purchasing the sweatshirts, so please send in $6.00 to reimburse her. We need the money on or before December 4, 2009. We will use the money to buy the sweatshirts and paint. If you write a check, please make it out to Vernice McSwain. We look forward to creating a memorable Christmas sweatshirt!

 
  • We now have a volunteer (Mae's grandmother) to come in atleast once a week to help for approximately 30 minutes to an hour. If you are still interested in helping, please feel free to email Mrs. Sawyer at adorrill@pcboe.net
  • We have a new section JUST for vocabulary :)
  • Check our "special thanks" section for some new "thank yous!"
  • Continue sending in box tops!!
  • Yearbooks are on sale now for $35.00. (Make checks payable to Lakewood Elementary School or LES) 
  •  Please be sure that your child completes his/her math homework EVERY night!
  • The reading homework pack for week 12 "King Midas and his Gold" is due Monday, November 16, 2009
  • *Spelling/Reading Test: Monday, November 16, 2009
  • The reading homework pack for week 13 "A Butterfly Grows" is due Monday, November 23, 2009
  • *Spelling/Reading Test: Monday, November 23, 2009

            

 
  • Don't forget to practice your spelling AND vocabulary words :)
 
 
  • Make sure your child reads every night, and be sure to record it in the R.A.H(Reading at home) section!
