How much does MidSouth Reading and Writing Conference cost?

If you preregister the cost is greatly reduced. Only $99 for a two day
conference! That is if you register early!

What about lunch? How much is it?

Pre-registration fees include a boxed lunch for both days. (Undergraduate students with a valid university student picture ID who pay $25 to attend the conference will not receive a boxed lunch.)

May I register for one day only?

You can attend one day, but you pay for two. The registration fee is set.

However the amount does increase as MidSouth nears.
Decide if you want to pay $99. or $125 or $135.

Would you recommend local motels or hotels?

For a good deal, when you make a reservation, ask for the rate for the UAB
MidSouth Institute. Check 'lodging' on the left side bar.

Can I get graduate credit for attending MidSouth?

Yes, you can even get graduate credit! Email Maryann Manning
(mmanning@uab.edu) requesting more
information. But basically you must be a UAB student AND willing to meet for
other Saturdays. The reading list for the course will be comprised of books
and/or articles written by the Institute leaders.
