I grew up in Northeast Alabama in a tiny little town called Section. I
graduated from Section High School in 1997, and then attended Northeast AL
Community College for two years. I transferred to the University of
Montevallo in 1999, and graduated in 2001 with a bachelor of arts degree in
English with a minor in business. I graduated with my masters of education
degree in 2003.
This is my fifth year at MHS, and I truly love the kids here. I teach
English 9 and Pre-AP English 9, and I am the varsity cheerleading coach. In
my spare time I love to read, watch college football (ROLL TIDE!!!), go to
the theatre, and play with my niece and nephew.
To instill a love of reading and communication in each student and to arm
each student with the resources necessary to become a lifelong learner.
