Where can I get a copy of the power point slides used as notes for my class?

I will be uploading all powerpoint presentations (notes)to this
web page as the chapters become available. Look under the
student course page. If you do not have the Microsoft Powerpoint
program, you can download a free Powerpoint viewer program by
going to the Links section of this website. If you cannot get
the program to download, send a blank CD-R disk to school and
I will download a copy for you.

What can I do for extra credit?

I will post extra credit to the appropriate page on this web site
as I see the need for it. However, if the student studies
consistently his/her notes from class, they should be able to
achieve a good grade without extra credit. Students can take
online chapter tests and email the results to me at
cprout@monroevols.org for extra credit also.

Why is there a viewer code?

I use a viewer code for each grade's information because my notes
come some from my head but also from the book printer which
includes copyrighted material. In order to keep the copyrighted
material from becoming open access on the web, I use the viewer
code to limit the viewers to my students only. All students in
my classes are given the viewer code on the first day
of class and it is written on my board in the classroom.

What is bell work?

Bell work is a daily quiz that is given in the first few minutes
of class to help the students recall the previous day's
material. The quiz is usually not more than 5 questions and can
be answered quickly and graded in class that day. I use bell
work as a tool to help me gage the comprehension of the material
by the students. Bell work counts as a daily grade.
Consistently poor bell work scores will lower your grade!!!
Review your notes each night and bell work will not be a minus
but a plus to your grade!
