Fall Fling
MES sponsors a fall festival usually held in September or October as a fund raiser to purchase additional resources for our school. Students and parents are encouraged to attend this fun-filled event. Volunteers are always needed for these activities.

Drug Awareness Week
You never know who may visit during this week!


Field Trips
All grades enjoy field trip(s) during the school years. Homeroom teachers will provide information concerning these trips along with permission slips required for students to attend.
Grandparents Luncheons/Breakfasts-Dates and Times TBA
Our cafeteria staff serves luncheons or breakfast for grandparents to come and dine with their grandchildren.
Indian Education
MES offers Indian Education for students to learn about their Indian heritage. Students in K-3 visit the Indian Mounds in Oakville and make Indian crafts to accompany the lessons. State guidelines are followed and some lessons included are map skills, phonics and social studies. The class meets the entire school year, three days a week. Students also participate in the annual Indian Festival held in May.

Each March we celebrate Dr.Seuss' birthday in honor of his contribution to children's literature. Guest readers read all kinds of Dr. Seuss books to the students.

Spring Fling
