APT Back to School Night is August 18, 2009.
Please see the NewsFlash icon. Here you can add your e-mail address for
updates. You will not get an update every time I update the site, only when
I update the NewsFlash page. An example of when I used this last year was
to let parents know we were dismissing early due to bad weather.
I have some neat internet sites for the children to use at home on the Links
page. Please use the ThinkLink probes, this will help with SAT practice.
The questions will not be the same, but they will be the same type of
questions. Also, use the Fourth Grade Skills-interactive site for specific
skills. This will be good to use for homework practice. For example, if we
are working on fractions, pull up a fraction activity.
The Get to 50 Spelling Assignment is not meant to be completed in one
night. Please encourage your child to work on this a little each night,
Monday - Thursday, so it will not be such a hardship.
Reading Class: Most projects are completed in class. Most projects
brought home should be to add finishing touches. Please understand that if
they bring home A LOT, this means they have wasted their class time. I give
them plenty of class time to work on our projects. Also, please help them
with assignments, but do not do it for them.
Don't forget:
4th grade will have lockers this year. Fee $6.00
Rolling book bags will not fit in the lockers.
Lockers are on a first come first serve basis.
