Get to 50 Choose the spelling activities you want to complete. Make sure they total 50 points! This is your weekly spelling homework and is due in class on Fridays. The 50 points will be doubled to give you a weekly spelling grade of 100. 1. Write a short story using as many spelling words as you can. (20 points) 2. Create a cartoon strip using at least eight spelling words. (15 points) 3. Write your spelling words in ABC order. (10 points) 4. Write each spelling word five times. (20 points) 5. Use graph paper to make a word-search puzzle that includes all of your spelling words. Can be computer generated. Have someone (or yourself) work the puzzle! (20 points) 6. Write all of your spelling words in a continuous line to form a picture or a design. (15 points) 7. Divide each spelling word into syllables. (10 points) 8. Look up ten of your spelling words in the dictionary and give the definitions. (15 points) 9. Write sentences using 12 of your words. (15 pts) 10. Cut letters from a newspaper or magazine and spell your words. (15 pts) 11. Make a crossword puzzle on graph paper that includes all of your spelling words. (25 points) 12. Use a dictionary and thesaurus to give a synonym and an antonym for ten of your spelling words. (15 pts) 13. Draw a colored picture of ten of your spelling words. (15 pts) 14. Pyramid write 12 of your spelling words. (15 pts) 15. Write a riddle for 10 of your spelling words. (15pts) 16. Create a 3 inch X 11 inch bumper sticker slogan using a spelling word. (5 pts)
