This is an elective reading course for 8th grade students. This class will explore various types of literature throughout the year, and we will learn about literary terminology that will be useful for students throughout their school career. No textbooks will be issued, but students will be expected to check out books for independent reading assignments from the library. We will read two novels together as a class each semester; first semester's novel is Monster by Walter Dean Myers. The book for second semester will be announced in December.
