My name is Marci Creel Clinner and I teach Reading, PreAp English 7th grade
and Gifted English 7th and 8th grades at Pleasant Grove High School. I also
sponsor the National Junior Honor Society. This is my fourth year at PGHS,
but it is my thirteenth year teaching.
I earned a BA in French and English from the University of Montevallo in
1996. In August of 2004, I finished my MA in Special Education: Gifted,
from the University of Alabama. And finally, in May 2006 I earned an Ed.S.
(Education Specialist) in Special Education with a concentration in Gifted
Education, from the University of Alabama. Currently, I have no plans for
pursuing a higher degree.
I have a wonderful family, Chris (my husband), Cameron and Matthew (my
sons), and two cats, Bentley and Cindy.
I truly believe that teachers hold the keys for tomorrow's leaders and
citizens of the world. It is my awesome responsibility and privelege to have
the job to teach. I hope that through participation in my classes that my
students will go on to be responsible, respectful, and resourceful citizens
of the world. My success is measured by the success of my students.
