Hello, I am excited about this comming school year. It will be my seventh year
at Prattville High School and my 14th year teaching. I graduated
from Oregon State University (Go Beavers!) with a Bachelors in Chemical
Engineering, Lousiana State University in Shreveport with a Bachelors in
Computer Science, and University of Montevallo with a Masters in Education
(and I am still learning).
I worked for International Paper before teaching. I am an active particpant
in the Alabama Science in Motion for Physics and Chemistry. I spend two weeks
each summer going to Science in Motion workshops to become the best science
teacher I can be. Since I participate in this wonderful program, my students
use the latest technology and science equipment available.
If you have any questions or concerns, please call the school and leave a
message. I will return your call during my planning period.
My mission for my chemistry and physics students is to prepare them for
college and future careers in a science related field. I emphasize problem
solving, critical thinking, and experimental techniques. I also want my
students to develop skills in analysis, synthesis, and learn to appreciate
the unique connection between mathematics, communication skills, and science.
