The Salem Witch Trials Your assignment is to write a fictional first-hand account as if you were living in Salem Village in 1692. You are to write from the point of view of an accuser, an accused, or a supporter or critic of the trials. Your accounts should reflect one or more of the possible theories for the witch trials. They should also describe Puritanism and its role in the lives of 17th-century Salem colonists. END OF ASSIGNMENT ============================================================================= TOTEM POLE PROJECT Here are some websites and ideas to help you get started on your Totem Pole project. These are DUE ON MONDAY, MARCH 11th. This will count as a TEST/PROJECT GRADE. Remember, this is an easy and fun way to make an "A"! Not only are you to make your own totem pole, but your totem MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A WRITTEN DESCRIPTION OF YOUR TOTEM. This written description MUST BE AT LEAST ONE PARAGRAPH (5-8 sentences) that describe your personal totem. It must answer the following questions: What type of animal describes you? What deeds and activities have you done that an animal could represent? (Football, babysitting, quiet and studious, social, etc..) Make a list of characteristics that you represent you; those behaviors that you believe are most important to you.
