Welcome to my webpage!  I am looking forward to working with my 9th grade
students and their parents.  I have also posted some of the handouts and
study guides that the students receive in class.  Also, please visit the
links I have posted for help with homework and research.  If you have any

1.      Journal prompt 1 on the board: write one single-spaced page; write a heading on your first prompt and title the assignment Journal Week 14; you will not put a heading on the journal prompts for the rest of the week, and you will hand in all prompts, stapled together, every Friday.  Put a header with your last name and page number on each page.
Write the number and prompt at the top of each page.  Do not write on the back of the paper; if you write more than one page, continue on a new sheet of paper.  You will have 10 minutes at the beginning of each class to respond to the prompt.  You are expected to write quietly and not disturb others, or points will be deducted from your journal grade.  
2.      Read “Sound of Thunder” on p. 219 in Holt Reader (under your desk) and answer questions on
p. 238 and 239, only write the answers.
3.      No vocabulary this week; use the time to work on your research paper
4.      If you do not have a Sentence Outline handout, ask the teacher for one; it is also under handouts on my webpage at www.teacherweb.com
