I grew up in Childersburg, Alabama but moved to Prattville in 10th grade. I
graduated from the old Autauga County High School!
I received my B.S. in Computer and Information Science with minors in Math
and Music. I continued taking math courses and completed math certification
requirements for teaching. I also have a M.Ed. in school counseling. I am
highly qualified in both fields of mathematics and school counseling. I
attended The University of Alabama, Troy State University in Montgomery, and
Alabama State University.
I have worked as a secretary, data entry person, computer programmer, and
teacher. This is my 24th year teaching and 14th year at PHS. I am a
trained musician and was an organist/choirmaster for almost 16 years. I
continue my music ministry by singing in my church choir and playing as a
substitute organist. I presently sing in the Montgomery Chorale and am the
accompanist for the Montgomery Youth Chorale. I also have worked with the
music and drama departments during my tenure at PHS.
I love being at PHS and am very thankful for the opportunity to work with
our students.
