Class rules

The code of good student behavior and the PHS and Autauga County School
System plans will be adhered to. It is your responsibility to be familiar
with is contents. Students must be in their assigned seats when the tardy
bell rings. Stay in your seat at the end of class until you are dismissed.
Keep the room clean by throwing always all trash as you leave class. Do not
write or deface school property in any way. Listen attentively when the
teacher or classmates are talking. Refrain from all private conversations
and any behavior that would disturb those around you. When you wish to
speak, either to comment on the class or ask a question, raise your hand and
be recognized. Treat everyone else at all times with the same kindness and
respect with which you want to be treated. Avoid any disrespect toward
anyone in the room. You are expected to be attentive during class that
includes listening to the lesson and instructions and participation in class
discussion and activities. Sleeping and putting your head on the desk is a
disciplinary matter.

Discipline

I do not expect discipline to be a problem, but students who want to learn
will not be disturbed by those who do not. Failure to behave in an
acceptable manner will not be tolerated. Students who cannot behave will be
given a detention for the first offense and a detention for the second
offense and I will attempt to contact the parents to discuss the problem.
After this, students will be referred to the office, if the misbehavior is
serious and deliberate( that includes behavior that is rude, impolite or
disrespectful to the teacher) or if the behavior disturbs the learning
environment of the class, the teacher may use one or any combination of the
above procedures.

Procedures

Assigned seats and tardy policy

You must be in your assigned seat when the class period begins. You are
considered tardy if you are not in your seat when the tardy bell rings. Use
your time between classes wisely. Sharpen pencils, gather supplies, go to
the restroom during that time. The class will adhere to the tardy policy of
PHS. Do not come into class and put your books down and tell me that your
are going to the restroom, water fountain, locker, etc and then expect me to
excuse you if you are tardy........wrong!!!!
