Students are expected to come to class every day with supplies.  For English 9, students will need the following materials for class:

College-ruled paper, pencil only for scantrons, and black or blue pen - do not use red pens (PENCILS ONLY ON SCANTRONS, NO PENCILS ON ANY OTHER WORK)
Post-it notes (3”x3” or 3”x5”) - to use for notations in books (optional)
5x8 index cards for the research paper - these cards are the size of half a sheet of paper. You can usually find these at WalMart or Office Depot.

Two  pocket folders (2nd-blue, 3rd-green, 4th-red) one for the research paper and  one for essay writing (can be with prongs or without)

A pocket dictionary and thesaurus
A novel appropriate to high school to read in class
