1. September 25th-We will take a walking field trip to the library, police station and fire station. We will also eat lunch at Pratt Park. Chaperones will need to arrive at school at 8:45 and plan to stay until 2:00.
2. October 22nd-We will go to Sunshine Farms in Maplesville, AL. We will enjoy picking a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch and many other actvities. This field trip will be in October. Chaperones will need to arrive at 8:30 and plan to stay until 2:00. Chaperones will provide their own transportation. Usually the parents carpool and follow the bus.
3. December 2nd-We will be making a special Christmas ornament from Artistic Expressions. These make a great addition to your tree, as well as grandparent's trees.
4. December 7th-We will also be having a special Polar Express field trip. This is new for this year, and it sounds like a lot of fun. It includes a simulation train ride to the North Pole, reading of the Polar Express, learning the hot chocolate dance from the Polar Express movie, hot chocolate and cookies, The night before Christmas reading in Christmas town, and pizza! This field trip will be in our school gym and it will be from 12:00-2:00 (we will eat pizza for lunch at 11:30 in our classroom).
6. We will be going to the Montgomery Zoo in April.
***All of the above field trips are tenatively scheduled. As soon as I know the official dates I will let you know. Please sign up to be a chaperone...we have a lot of students this year, so we will need at least 5 chaperones for each field trip. ***
