My name is Dora Kleinschmidt and I am the Reading Coach at Prattville
Kindergarten. I taught first grade for 24 years at Prattville Primary and
Daniel Pratt Elementary. Reading has always been my favorite subject to
teach so I was very excited when the Reading Coach position became available
at this school last year. It turned out to be a very productive and
exciting year for us all.
The administrators, teachers, and staff are very dedicated in making your
child's Kindergarten experience a positive and fun one! Not only do we
teach your child important socialization skills, but we also teach the
skills necessary to develop good readers. Your child will be taught
phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension skills-
all of which promote and develop strong readers. We will do everything we
can to prepare your child for first grade.
