Our Patriotic Program will be next week on Thursday, November 12th at 1:30
p.m. in our gym. Please have your child wear RED, WHITE AND BLUE clothes
that day. If you know a Veteran, please invite them to attend. You will want
to arrive no later than 1:20 to get a seat. Also, if you or any of your
family members are able to come to the program, please have them wear RED,
WHITE AND BLUE clothes also. We will all LOOK and FEEL patriotic---Yeah!
In Language Arts and Social Sciences this week:
We are learning about a bear who is hibernating for the winter. We are
studying the letter Cc this week also. Your child find words that
begin with the /k/ sound as you read books with them at home.
Now that we have introduced ONE VOWEL....THE VOWEL "A" ...WE CAN MAKE SOME
SMALL WORDS LIKE CAT, CAP, PAM, PAT, TAP, SAP, TAM, MAT, SAT, SAM, ETC. Your
children are doing a fabulous job recognizing these words and learning how to
sound them out and create new words.
In Math this week:
We are learning about numbers 0-30. We are also counting forwards and
backwards to 30 and making numeral sets.
In Social Sciences this week:
We are studying about THE FARM AND NEXT WEEK WE WILL START OUR PATRIOTIC
UNIT.
Remember that next Wednesday, November 11, 2009, is a holiday for Veteran's
Day!
