Students can continue to work on naming all the letters of the alphabet.
Many children don't know all of them yet. Phoneme Segmentation is breaking
apart the sounds in words. You can practice this skill with your child.
Start with words that have only 2 sounds like it and up. Move to words that
have 3 and 4 sounds. You can even challenge your child with any one syllable
word that has more than 4 sounds. We will be counting and recognizing
numbers 0-30. This 9 weeks, we introduce addition and money. Both of these
skills can be reviewed at home.
