Hi,
It is hard to believe Thanksgiving is over and Christmas is around the corner.
These next weeks will be fast and furious, with lots to do. There are lots of
ways to help the classroom this month. You can come and help with shirts or
send in needed items or come see our program whatever you can provide it is
all much appreciated!
We are moving along at a fast clip. I hope everyone is paying attention to
the "Family Times" that I send home each Monday. It has the story we are
reading for the week, all the words we are learning and the letters. To date
we have now introduced all 26 letters. Your child should know these letters
by sight quickly. Please work with your child on writing their first and last
name. They will also need to know their full name, mother and father's name,
address to include number, street, and town and phone number. These skills
will be tested for the report card.
We now have learned 11 sight words: little, a, the, am, I, to, like, we,
my, have and is. Make sure your child can read these words.
This is a review week. Next week is the letter and sound for Bb the following
week is Nn. We have learned the sound for the letters: M, T, A, S, P and C!
We can now blend these words; at, mat, am, tam, cap, Sam, pat, tap. Make sure
your child is reading these words.

Friday, December 4th, white longsleeve t-shirt or turtleneck is due and $5
for the Polar Express party
Tuesday, December 8th Polar Express Party in gym from 9-11, pizza is served
be we will eat in lunchroom as usual.
Wed - Thurs Dec 9 - 10th, come and help paint shirts anytime after 10:30
Monday, December 14th Christmas Program with Mrs Pat, Mrs Emmy in gym at
1:30, come to office sign in and go to gym
Wednesday, December 16th, book swap and Christmas snack, please send a
wrapped book with your child by Tues Dec 15th. Boys send book for boys, girls
send for girls, on the name card sign if FROM you child, leave the TO:
portion blank.
