Hi,
We now have 13 "star" words, these are sight words.They are as follows; a, I,
is, little, the, like, to, have, my, we, he, for and am.
Please review these with your child, they need to be able to read them
quickly.
The letters and sounds we have learned so far are: M, P, S, T, A, I and C. We
are now blending these sounds into words like: map, Pam, sat, cap, Tam, Cam,
tap, Sam, tip, and Tim. Your child should be able to blend and read these
words, also.
All the letters of the alphabet have been introduced. If your child struggles
in naming these letters please work with them at night. Flash cards are a
great way to help.
In Math we are working on more, less and fewer. We will introduce the
numbers 1-10. We will begin learning to write the numbers 1-10.
For our Social Science theme we will be talking about seasons and change. We
will learn about pilgrims and Indians. We will learn why the pilgrims came to
America. We will prepare for out Pow Wow and feast.
A few reminders, if your child is still struggling with writing their names
please help them every night. They also need to know their address to
include house number, street, city and state and phone number.
Please remember to check binders EVERY night. There is always lots of
information.

Here are a few things to remember:
*If you are going to change the way your child gets home for any reason I
need a note in writing. This is a school policy.
* Remember we have juice and snack everyday. PLEASE send all money in a
labeled envelope, I cannot take loose money.
Here are important dates for the upcoming month:
November 11 - No school, Veteran's Day
November 18 - Pow Wow and feast
November 24 - 28 No school, Thanksgiving Holidays
