| Getting Ready for First Grade
•Practice reading and recognizing basic sight words, color words, and number
words. These words are sight words (or funny words) because if you try to
sound them out, the sounds don’t make a real word. We learn these words by
their spelling. Make if fun by playing Bingo, Go Fish, I Spy (look for
these words on street signs and billboards), or create your own word
search! Below is a list of kindergarten sight words.
