These poems can be used to teach letters, letter sounds, and rhyming 
words to young children.   Below are some suggestions for using these 
Alphabet Poems with your child.

1.Point to the words in the poem as you read. 
2.Highlight the rhyming words. 
3.When reading the poem, let your child fill in the rhyming word 
4.Highlight specific letters. 
5.Talk about beginning sounds.  
6.When reading the poem, let your child think of other words with the same 
beginning sound.
