EXCUSED ABSENCES
ILLNESS
**doctor/dentist appointment (Verification of appointment needed from doctor)
**strep (must be on antibiotics for 24 hours before returning to school)
**vomiting/diarrhea (must be symptom free for 24 hours before returning to
school)
**“pink eye” (must be on antibiotic drops for 24 hours before returning to
school)
**temperature of 100 or above (must be fever free for 24 hours before
returning to school)
DEATH IN THE FAMILY
LEGAL REQUIREMENTS
A written excuse must be returned within 3 days of the child's absence from
school.
