About The Teacher
My name is Christie Metz. I've been teaching for fifteen years. This will be my thirteenth year teaching first grade at Prattville Primary School. Two years prior were spent teaching in private schools.I received my Bachelor's Degree from Faulkner University and a Master's Degree from Alabama State. Anthony and I have two wonderful children. My son, Taylor is twenty and my daughter Kaitlyn is fourteen. I enjoy being a first grade teacher. I believe it is my true calling in life.

I will be dedicated to providing my students with knowledge, skills and experiences that promote life long learning. I will work hard to meet all student's individual needs while instilling in them a sense of respect and responsibility. I believe that individual outcome is the key to successful teaching. I am dedicated to achieving this by a combined collaborative effort from myself, my students and their parents. My personal goal is to provide my students with personal success through quality teaching, challenging lessons, and effective classroom management. I strive daily to engage them in activities that foster their creativity and curiosity in a safe and enjoyable environment.
