What classes does Mr. Rodgers teach?
Civics (one semester in the late summer/fall) and Geography (one semester in
the winter/spring) to the 7th grade. World History: The Ancient World to the
8th grade. College Prep U.S. History to the 10th grade.

What else does Mr. Rodgers do at Springwood?
He is coach of the chess team.

How can I help my child to do better in Mr. Rodgers' classes?
Make sure that they are actually doing their reading and not just telling
you
they are doing their reading. Are they taking any notes in class? Ask them
to
show them to you. Pick up their text and ask them some random questions over
the chapter. How did they do? Students today have a multitude of
distractions
at their disposal. The most helpful thing that you can do is to help them
take the time to do their studies and to make sure that they actually do
their studies.

How does the rotating schedule work?
It is not as complicated as it looks. You have seven periods but you only
attend six classes in a day. The schedule rotates. For example: on "A" day
you have periods 1-6 but no seven. The next day ("B" day) you start with 7
then go 1-5. Then on the next day ("C") you start with 6, then 7, then 1-4.
The schedule continues the rotation until you come back around to "A" day
again (Seven different schedules, "A" through "G").
